As experts in connectivity and digitalisation solutions, COCUS was once again represented at PortComms 2024 in London from 9-10 October together with its partner Panasonic. In this year’s presentation ‘Introducing Digital Solutions at German Ports’, we shared insights into the solutions developed in our partner projects at German ports.
Efficiency through Automation: How Digitalisation optimises Port Operations
PortComms24 focussed on the most important trends shaping the future of port communication:
- Port operations and management: The focus was on advances in automation and digitalisation. Here it was shown how digital technologies are transforming traditional port operations and optimising the flow of information.
- Maritime logistics: Experts discussed innovative communication strategies to optimise the supply chain. Real-time tracking of freight and transparency solutions were at the forefront in order to increase the efficiency of intermodal transport.
- Stakeholder engagement: An important part of the event was the dialogue on improving communication and cooperation between ports, shipping companies and other stakeholders in new ways.
In our blog, we use practical use cases to show which technologies can meet the current demands on ports, from AI-supported cameras to autonomous vehicles.
